After 50 years of victory, our golden Bangladesh entered the 51st year. On this day in 1971, a new country called Bangladesh was added to the world map. We got this golden Bengal of ours in exchange for the blood of 30 lakh martyrs. Every year this day is celebrated with much grandeur. Along with various cultural programs, various competitive examinations are organized on this day. Dhaka Zilla School presents the following report on the occasion of the recent Victory Day celebrations.
As usual this year our school celebrated Great Victory Day on 16th December. Our school teachers and various teachers were present in this event. Along with that, the guest of honour, special guests, parents and students of all our classes were present. The headmaster of the school presides over our function. Eminent linguist Professor Abu Zafar Hossain was the chief guest in the discussion meeting. District Commissioner and invited dignitaries spoke as special guests. And in this context, the assistant teacher of the school participated in our discussion.
The spirit of the Great Victory Day was expressed through the speech of the Chief Guest. Explains how our independence revolution happened. The purpose of celebrating Victory Day, its significance is particularly presented through his speech. Thus more teachers and invited guests came to know about the importance of Victory Day.
Apart from this, games have been organized in our school. Various competitions are celebrated. Essay competition, speech and presentation competition were special parts of Victory Day. Finally, prizes were distributed among the winners of the sports and essay competitions.

We got this victory today through the great liberation war. We gained freedom through bloody war with Pak army for 9 long months. The price of this freedom is immense. Our great leader in this war was Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Under his leadership, the Bengalis got inspiration for war.
Bangladesh had a lot of discrimination with Pakistanis long before the liberation war. After the partition of the country, two countries called Pakistan expanded. One is East Pakistan and the other is West Pakistan. East Pakistan was today’s Bangladesh. They used to abuse, exploit and torture this Bangladesh a lot. It used to create a gap with the financial resources of the country. The people of Bengal could not accept it for a time. There was a language movement with them before the liberation war. Many of our Bengalis lost their lives in that movement. After that we got Bagla language as mother tongue.
Then Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman declared independence on March 26, 1971. His declaration inspired millions of Bengalis for war. And finally everyone took part in the liberation war. After that, the liberation war continued for nine long months. About three million Bengalis were martyred in this war. As a result of their contribution, Bangladesh became independent. Finally defeated the Pakistani army and achieved victory on 16 December 1971. Since then Victory Day is celebrated on 16th December every year. On this day our spirit of independence is revealed. Introducing the new generation to the historic day. We will never forget those who gave us this freedom. Freedom is our pride, our pride.
